   编者按：2017年2月22日晚，印度龙城那格浦尔，佛陀文化艺术节隆重开幕，博山正觉寺方丈仁炟大和尚应邀参加开幕式并致辞。
Editor’s note: In the evening of February 22, 2017, Buddha Festival opened in Nagpur, India. Ven. Ren Da, the abbot of Boshan Zhengjue Monastery, was invited to the ceremony and delivered a speech.

   尊敬的组委会主席如达优西博士(Dh Rutayush)、苏拉萨沙长老(Ven. SuraiSasai)、洛卡弥达仁者(Lokamitra)、杜丽亚仁者(Dhulia)、扶泽勒先生(Mr.Fulzele)。

   女士，先生们，朋友们：晚上好！

   中国和印度的友好交往源远流长。1300多年前来自东方大唐帝国的僧人玄奘，将佛教发源地——印度的文化，带回遥远的中国。

   今晚我们来印度参加2017年佛陀文化艺术节，希望继续谱写中印两国佛教和人民友谊的新篇章。愿中国和印度两国佛教和两国人民的友谊发扬光大，源远流长。

   佛教主张众生平等，崇尚和平。佛教的宗旨是让人们去除烦恼，开启般若智慧，远离苦难，得到永恒的安乐。

   60年前，安贝卡博士在这里带领50万人皈依佛门，开启了伟大的佛教复兴运动。我们中国的僧人，愿意在佛陀伟大思想光辉的照耀下，与印度人民和佛教信众一起，为印度佛教的伟大复兴作出应有的贡献，提升和平友谊的正能量。祝福2017年印度佛陀文化艺术节圆满成功。祝福印度佛弟子们六时吉祥!阿弥陀佛!

Ladies and gentlemen,

Good evening!

The friendship between China and India has a long history. More than 1300 years ago when China was in Tang dynasty, a Chinese venerable master Xuanzang came to India, and brought back India culture, the headstream of Buddhism, to China.

Tonight we arrive in India to attend the 2017 Buddha Festival (with Chan Tea Musical-an original artwork from the team of our monastery to promote Chinese traditional culture. We try to bring the tables on the stage, and turn Dikshabhum Plaza into meditation hall.), hoping to continue to write a new chapter of friendships between Buddhism fields and people of two countries. May the friendships flourish and last long.

Buddhism advocates equality of sentient beings and peace. The aim of Buddhism cultivation is to eliminate afflictions, enlighten the Prajna wisdom, keep away from sufferings and attain the eternal happiness.

60 years ago, Dr. Ambedkar led 500,000 people convert to Buddhism together here, opened up a great Buddhist revival movement. Our Chinese monks are willing to contribute to the great rejuvenation of Indian Buddhism and to improve the positive energy of peace and friendship with the Indian people and Buddhism believers, under the great glorious vision of the Buddha.

Hope the 2017 Indian Buddha Festival a great success! Wish all the Indian Buddhism believers auspicious life!
